New Delhi: Lakhs of people travel in Delhi Metro every day and sometimes in a hurry, passengers forget their luggage in the metro or station. In such a situation, due to a lack of correct information, they face difficulty in getting their valuables back. If something like this happens to you too, then now you can get your luggage back. For that, you will have to adopt this trick
'Lost and Found'
If your luggage is left behind in a metro or station, then first of all you should go to a nearby metro station within 48 hours. Contact the customer care center located there. Here your complaint will be registered and every effort will be made to find the lost luggage. Apart from this, you can also contact the 'Lost and Found' office, which can help you.
DMRC Portals
If your belongings are not found through offline efforts, you can also search for them online. For this, first, you have to open the DMRC portal in your browser. Click on the 'Lost and Found' option there. In this section, you will find the option of 'List of Lost and Found', after clicking on which you can see the list of your lost belongings.
Auction of goods
This list contains the name of the station, receiving date and time. If your luggage is found in the list, then to claim it you will have to contact the 'Lost and Found' department. For this, you will have to submit your original ID proof and a photocopy. Keep in mind that if no person claims his lost luggage for a month, then DMRC can decide to auction that luggage. So try to get your luggage back as soon as possible.
