An interesting contest was seen between the uncle and nephew parties in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar defeated the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) by 29 seats and won a total of 41 seats. On the other hand, Sharad Pawar's party NCP (SP) managed to win only 10 seats, while it won six of these seats by defeating the candidates of Ajit Pawar's party.
NCP (SP) had fielded 86 candidates in this election, but the party did not get the expected success. At the same time, NCP under the leadership of Ajit Pawar won 41 seats on the basis of election strategy, which is being considered a big success for the party. This election result has set a new direction in the politics of Maharashtra, especially in the situation where there were two rival factions led by Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar.
The real fight between NCP and Shiv Sena?
Because before the elections, the real NCP and the real Shiv Sena were also a big issue in the state politics. After the division of Shiv Sena, a fierce fight was seen between Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena UBT, while there were two factions in NCP as well. The issue of Ajit Pawar's NCP and Sharad Pawar's NCP-SP dominated in this. All four parties were busy proving that they were the real party. However, now that the results have come out, it can be seen that the public has shown more trust in the faction that has won the party's name and symbol in the legal battle. So now it has to be seen whether the fight between the real NCP and the real Shiv Sena will end after the election results or not.
