Manipur University Exam Postponed: Manipur University has taken a big decision given the deteriorating situation in the state. Due to the current situation, the university has postponed all PG and UG examinations till further orders. A notice issued by the university said that the new date of the examination will be announced soon. At the same time, keeping in mind the safety of the students, an order was issued to keep all the schools and colleges of the state closed till September 12.

According to the notice, "All concerned are informed that given the prevailing situation in the state of Manipur, all the scheduled PG and UG examinations under Manipur University are postponed till further notice. Please stay updated through official university channels for further announcements regarding the rescheduled exam dates. This is issued with the approval of the higher authority."

At the same time, the Higher and Technical Education Department had also issued an order to close all schools and colleges in the state. The official notice said that in continuation of the government's order dated September 8, it is ordered that all government colleges/aided colleges/private colleges under the Higher and Technical Education Department of Manipur will remain closed from September 11 (Wednesday) to September 12 (Thursday).'

Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya left Imphal for Guwahati on Wednesday, a day after security forces clashed with students marching towards the Raj Bhavan. More than 55 students and security personnel suffered minor injuries during the clash near the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. The protesting students were demanding the removal of the Director General of Police and the state government's security advisor, accusing them of being unable to handle law and order in Manipur.
