Maharashtra has maintained its leading position in attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for the second consecutive year, said Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
According to data released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on May 30, the state received Rs 1.25 lakh crore in FDI in FY24, up from Rs 1.18 lakh crore in FY23.
In contrast, Karnataka's FDI inflow dropped from Rs 83,628 crore to Rs 54,427 crore, placing it third after Gujarat, which recorded Rs 60,600 crore in FDI.
Interestingly, Gujarat's FDI inflow has nearly doubled from Rs 37,059 crore.
Delhi followed with Rs 53,980 crore, then Telangana with Rs 25,094 crore, Tamil Nadu with Rs 20,157 crore, Haryana with Rs 15,797 crore, Uttar Pradesh with Rs 2,762 crore, and Rajasthan with Rs 2,195 crore.
