Aurangabad West Assembly Election 2024: Aurangabad West Assembly seat is one of the 288 constituencies of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. It is constituency number 108 of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. This assembly seat is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Aurangabad West Assembly seat is located in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. It is part of the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency. Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 will be held in a single phase on November 20. Voting will also be held on the Aurangabad West Assembly seat on the same date. The election results will be declared on November 23.

The main parties contesting this seat are Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Sanjay Pandurang Shirsat of Shiv Sena currently represents the Aurangabad West seat and was elected from the Aurangabad West constituency in the Assembly Elections 2019.

According to Election Commission data, there were 1,99,789 voters in Aurangabad West Assembly constituency during the 2019 assembly elections. Of these, 1,09,392 were male and 88,786 female voters. Four voters in this assembly constituency were of the third gender. 1,607 postal votes were cast in the constituency. The number of service voters in Aurangabad West Assembly constituency in 2019 was 147 (140 male and 7 female). At the same time, in the 2014 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the Aurangabad West Assembly constituency was 2,09,011. Of these, 1,14,182 voters were male and 94,829 female voters. There were 876 valid postal votes in the constituency. The number of service voters in Aurangabad West in 2014 was 755 (539 male and).

Aurangabad West Assembly seat situation in 2019 

Talking about the Assembly elections 2019, Shiv Sena candidate Sanjay Pandurang Shirsat won this seat by a margin of 40,445 votes (20.57%). He got 83,792 votes with a 42% vote share. He defeated independent candidate Raju Ramrao Shinde, who got 43,347 votes (21.72%). At the same time, AIMIM leader Arun Vitthalrao Borde came third with 39,336 votes (19.71%) while VBA candidate Sandeep Bhausaheb Shirsa came fourth with 25,649 votes (12.85%). 

Aurangabad West Assembly seat situation in 2014 

Talking about the Assembly elections 2014, Congress leader Abdul Sattar Abdul Nabi won this seat. He got 96,038 votes with 45.76% vote share. On the other hand, Suresh Pandurang, a BJP candidate, got 82,117 votes (39.13%) and was the runner-up. Nabi defeated Pandurang by a margin of 13,921 votes (6.73%). Shiv Sena candidate Mirakar Sunil Prabhakarrao came third with 15,909 votes (7.58%) while MNS candidate Kale Deepali Madhukar came fourth with 3,465 votes (1.65%).
