The wait for the JEE Main 2025 date may end soon. The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA will announce the exam schedule for JEE Main 2025 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in in a few days. According to a notice from the board, the JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exam is likely to be held in the last week of January.

Not released yet

Remember that NTA has not yet officially announced the exam date. For this, NTA will release the information bulletin for JEE Main 2025, which will also contain the official exam schedule. Through the bulletin, many details will be released to the candidates including the exam deadline, registration process, eligibility, and application fee information. It will also provide important information about the documents required for registration, instructions for filling out the form, instructions for uploading photos and signatures, and the process of payment of the application fee.

Exam Timing

For the past several years, JEE Main has been conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The duration of JEE Main Paper-1 (for Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology), Paper 2A (for Bachelor of Architecture), and Paper 2B (for Bachelor of Planning) is 3 hours each. But now, candidates who opt to take both Paper 2A and 2B will be given 3.30 hours to complete the exam.

What changes have been made in the exam pattern?

According to media reports, NTA has removed optional questions in section B of all subjects of JEE Main 2025. This change has been implemented in Paper-I of Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (BTech) as well as Paper-II of Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Planning (B Planning). 

The JEE Main exam is conducted for admission to engineering and architecture programs in NITs, IITs, and various other government and private institutes. Candidates who clear JEE Mains 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which is for admission to Bachelor of Technology in IITs.
