Before the elections in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar seemed to be gradually strengthening his party. Sharad Pawar, who has already made a dent in the BJP, is now preparing to break Ajit Pawar. A big leader who went with Ajit Pawar has expressed regret for leaving Sharad Pawar. Senior NCP leader Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar is once again preparing to go with Sharad Pawar.

I regret leaving Sharad Pawar- Nimbalkar.

Senior leader of the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar, on Sunday said he regretted leaving Sharad Pawar's side but did so for the safety of his workers. Speaking at an event in Phaltan to mark his 75th birthday, Nimbalkar said he decided to break ties with Sharad Pawar and join Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's party for the safety of his workers. "However, that did not happen," the former chairman of the state Legislative Council said.

Sharad Pawar's favors counted.

Referring to speculations of joining the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), the senior leader said, "How can I face (Sharad) Pawar sahab, who made me a minister in 2009 when I was not even an MLA? I regret leaving him. I did this to ensure the safety of my workers. But it does not seem to be happening."

Preparations for Pawar's departure

Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar said he had informed Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis that he would not campaign for BJP MP Ranjit Nimbalkar during the recent Lok Sabha elections. He said he would decide about his political future after discussing it with workers.

Ajit Pawar has left his uncle and joined BJP

.Nimbalkar's statement comes amid growing talk of his return to the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) ahead of the state assembly elections. In July 2023, Ajit Pawar along with several other MLAs joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government, leading to a split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founded by his uncle Sharad Pawar.
