There is good news for the candidates who have applied for Odisha Police Constable Recruitment. Odisha Police has extended the last date to apply for Sepoy/Constable Recruitment 2024. An official notification has been issued in this regard. Interested candidates can apply for it by visiting the official website.

 Let us inform you that candidates can now apply for 1,360 vacancies till October 30. In the official notification, the State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha said that the last date of application has been extended given the Puja holidays. 

When will the correction window open? 

The board said that the edit/correction window will open after the registration window closes and the details will be shared later. According to SSB Odisha, a candidate can apply under only one battalion and the option cannot be changed later, 

Who is not eligible to apply?

Women, transgender and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are not eligible to apply for these vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024

  • Candidates should be at least 18 years of age and not more than 23 years of age as of January 1, 2024. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates.
  • To apply for Constable/Sepoy posts, candidates must have a Class 10 (Matriculation) qualification or its equivalent. Odia must be a subject in the Matriculation exam.
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens of good character and of healthy health, free from organic defects and physical deformities.
  • In addition, the applicant must be able to speak, write, and read in Odia.

What is the selection process?

The candidates will be selected in four stages: a computer-based recruitment examination (CBRE), a measurement of physical standards and physical efficiency test, a driving test, for and a medical examination.

Exam Pattern 

The recruitment exam will have 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The duration of the exam will be two hours. The questions will be objective type and multiple choice with negative marking (0.25 marks) for wrong answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
