But which city is the most expensive to live in globally?
According to the Mercer 2024 Cost of Living Survey, Hong Kong has once again ranked as the most expensive city for international workers.
This isn't surprising, considering Hong Kong has topped the list for the past two years.
Following Hong Kong, the second most expensive city is the financial hub of Singapore. The next four costliest cities, all located in Switzerland, include Zurich, Geneva, Basel, and Bern.
New York ranked 7th, while London was 8th. These were followed by Nassau (Bahamas) and Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, New Delhi, at 164, rose four spots, while Chennai, at 189, dropped five positions, and Bengaluru, at 195, slipped six spots.
Hyderabad remained stable at 202, Pune climbed eight places to 205, and Kolkata rose four spots to 207.
The report, which ranked 226 cities, based its findings on the cost of more than 200 items, including transportation, food, clothing, and entertainment.
