Tech giant Google has rolled out the mobile app of its GenAl chatbot Gemini in India with new capabilities in English and nine Indian languages
Google's chief executive officer Sundar Pichai announced the launch on X.
"Exciting news! Today, we're launching the Gemini mobile app in India, available in English and 9 Indian languages," Pichai said.
The Android app, which was first announced in February, is underpinned by Google's latest generative
Al model Gemini 1.5 Pro.
The app will be available in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, the company said. Google will also integrate these nine local languages into Gemini Advanced.
The Gemini mobile app allows users to type or talk in supported languages and even add an image to get Al assistance.
