Two friends, Venkatesh B M and Lokesh S, noticed that 2-wheeler bike users don't visit authorised service centres for servicing and other needs due to high costs and lack of proximity.

Venkatesh's father was an auto-rickshaw driver turned businessman, while Lokesh's father was a farmer. They faced financial struggles after moving to Bangalore for education.

"We struggled a lot when we moved to Bangalore. We had to look for scholarships for further education," Venkatesh told Startup Pedia.

They met at Bangalore's Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic College (SJP) while studying Engineering in Automobile. Both worked at India Yamaha Motor and later at Honda India.

VOC is the one-stop solution for all two-wheeler service needs and requirements at a 30% cost reduction compared to competitors. They provide general, major, paid, and other various services.

Currently, there are 107 franchise outlets. One franchisee in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district makes a monthly profit of ₹2.5 lakh.

The total investment required for a franchise is approximately 25 lakhs, with an expected ROI within two years. Venkatesh shed light on the financial growth of the startup and said, "there was no business in the first two years of launching the business, but in the third year we made Rs 2 lakhs in revenue; in the 4th year (FY-23), we did Rs 2.7 Cr, and in the 5th year (FY-24), we clocked Rs 10 Cr in revenue".

The startup became profitable last year and currently has 20% EBITDA."

The VOC Smart Rider App aims to onboard 4 lakh customers this year. The company also plans to launch a platform for buying and selling pre-owned 2-wheelers.u
