Palghar: BJP's national general secretary Vinod Tawde and BJP candidate Rajan Naik have been accused of distributing money to voters. Palghar's DM Govind Bodke said that three separate FIRs have been registered in the case of the cash scandal at Virar's Vivanta Hotel. Vinod Tawde's name is in the first FIR. Tawde is accused of staying in this hotel illegally after the election campaign ended. No person from another assembly constituency can come and stay in another assembly constituency for 48 hours after the election campaign ends. This is why this FIR has been registered.

Three separate FIRs were lodged.

Secondly, a case has been registered against the person who booked the room from where cash was recovered. BJP candidate Rajan Naik's name is mentioned in the book. A total of four rooms were booked, out of which cash was recovered from rooms 405 (9 lakhs), 410 (72500 rupees recovered), and 416 (14 thousand). Cash worth 9 lakh 93500 has been recovered. 17 thousand, 57 thousand and the third FIR is being registered in connection with the illegal press conference held at Vivanta Hotel. According to the collector, he is looking into who organized this illegal press conference and an FIR is being registered against them.

The election officer gave this information.

Nalasopara Assembly Election Officer Shekhar Ghadge said that we had received a complaint that a meeting of a political party was going on here. When our team reached here, we saw that a meeting was going on. Some amount of cash has been seized here. The police have registered a case. The search for two cases is on. This will not have any impact on the elections.

9 lakh rupees were recovered from the room where Vinod Tawde was staying

Let us tell you that a day before the voting in Maharashtra, BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde has been accused of distributing cash to voters. Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) has alleged that BJP leader Tawde has distributed money to voters in Thane. However, the BJP leader has rejected these allegations. Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) workers raised slogans and accused Tawde of distributing Rs 5 crore in cash. Amidst the ruckus, police officers also reached the hotel and tried to handle the situation. Interestingly, more than Rs 9 lakh was recovered from room number 406 of the hotel. Vinod Tawde was staying in this room.

Election Commission should conduct an inquiry: Tawde.

At the same time, Vinod Tawde has rejected the allegations of the opposition. He said that a meeting of the MLAs of Nalasopara was going on. I had gone there to explain the rules of the election code of conduct. Tawde said that the Election Commission officials have searched his car, bag, and room. 9 lakh 53 thousand cash has been recovered from room number 406. Still, I believe that the Election Commission should conduct an impartial investigation.

Uddhav Thackeray took a dig at BJP.

Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray said that I performed puja at Tulja Bhavani temple and prayed that the rule of corrupt demons in Maharashtra should end. I have prayed that a government comes that will beautify the culture of Maharashtra. Even while coming here, my bag was checked but nothing was found. I have come to know from you people that money was found in Vinod Tawde's bag.
