Crores of Jio customers can soon get a budget phone. Jio is currently working on a new phone. Recently, a Jio phone has been spotted on BIS certification.

If media reports are to be believed, Jio can launch its new budget-friendly phone in the market very soon. The Jio phone which has been spotted on BIS certification has not revealed any of its hardware specifications or its name. 

Jio's new phone will be a part of the feature phone lineup. Through this phone, the company will try to make 4G technology available to every area and every section. Like other Jio phones, this phone can also be launched in the budget segment. If leaks are to be believed, Jio's upcoming feature phone can be a dual SIM one. 

It is believed that Jio's upcoming phone can be an upgraded version of JioPhone Prima 2 which can come with dual SIM features. In some places, it is being said that Jio's new phone has been spotted on the certification site with the name JFP1AE-DS. Let us tell you that the model number of the Jio Phone Prima available in the Indian market is JFP1AE. In such a situation, JFP1AE-DS may be an upgraded version of JioPhone Prima 2. 

Specifications of JioPhone Prima 2

Jio had earlier launched JioPhone Prima 2 in India in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies. It has a 2.4-inch display. You also get the facility of video calling in this feature phone. Apart from this, you have been given the support of Google Assistant, Facebook, JioChat, and YouTube along with JioSaavn, JioCinema, and JioTV for entertainment.

In JioPhone Prima 2, you have been given Qualcomm's quad-core chipset. In this feature phone, the company has provided 512MB of RAM along with the option of up to 128GB of storage with the help of f microSD card. This Jio phone runs on the kaiOS 2.5.3 operating system.

You can also make online payments with the help of this feature phone. Jio Pay UPI has been provided in it for payment. The company has also provided an FM feature in it. Apart from this, you get connectivity options like an LED torch, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB 2.0.
