The Central Board of Secondary Education has changed the CTET December 2024 exam date. Candidates who were going to appear in this exam can check the revised date on the official website of CBSE Central Teacher Eligibility Test ctet.nic.in. Let us inform you that earlier this exam was to be held on 15th December. 

As per the official announcement, the CBSE CTET 2024 exam will now be conducted on 14th December 2024. If there are many candidates in a city, the exam may also be conducted on 15th December 2024. This change has been made after considering the request of the candidates, as some competitive examinations are going to be held in some states/UTs on 15th December 2024 (Sunday).

What was said in the notice?

The official notice reads, "Now, as per the information received from various candidates, some competitive examinations are going to be held on 15th December 2024 (Sunday) in some States/UTs. Therefore, keeping in view the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on 14th December 2024 (Saturday)." 

Apart from this, the board has also notified that if the number of candidates in any city is high, then the CBSE CTET exam can also be conducted on December 15, 2024.

This is the second time CBSE has revised the CTET December 2024 exam date. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on December 1, but last month it was postponed to December 15, 2024.

Registrations are going on

Meanwhile, registration for CTET December 2024 is ongoing. The last date to apply for the exam is 16 October 2024. A direct link to apply is given on the official website.

How much is the fee?

The exam fee for General/OBC category candidates is ₹1000/- for Paper I or II only and ₹1200/- for both Paper I and II. For SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities category candidates, the exam fee is ₹500/- for Paper I or II and ₹600/- for Paper I and II. The fee can be paid online - through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
