The education department of the Bihar government has given a big update regarding the examination system of schools. Monthly examinations will not be conducted for classes 1 to 12 in Bihar schools from the upcoming academic year. The education department itself has given this information by issuing a press release. These changes in the education department will be applicable in all government and government-aided schools. The government believes that this decision will improve the education level of the state.

The Education Department has announced important changes to improve the examination system of students from class 1 to 12 in all government andgovernment-aidedd schools of the state. According to this announcement, now from 2025, monthly examinations will not be taken for children from class to 12. Apart from this, from now on, they will have to give only quarterly, half-yearly, and annual examinations. It was further told that the examinations from class 1 to class 8 will be conducted by the State Education Research and Training Council, while the examinations from class 9 to 12 will be conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board.

There will be a weekly exam every Monday.

Apart from this, weekly examinations will be conducted at the school level every Monday from January 2025. At the same time, internal assessment will be conducted as before and its result will be shared with the students and their parents. At the same time, examinations for classes 9th and 12th by the Bihar School Committee, practical examinations, setup, and band board examinations of classes 10th and 12th will remain as before.

The Bihar government believes that this decision will prove to be an important step towards further strengthening the education and evaluation process in the state's schools.
