BSNL has taken the first step towards upgrading its service. The government telecom company is soon going to launch 4G service commercially. It may also announce the 5G service in June next year. BSNL showcased many of its upcoming services at the recently held India Mobile Congress (IMC). The company has launched its new logo and slogan at an event held in Delhi today. Along with this, the company has also introduced 7 new services.

BSNL has changed its logo after 2000. Also, the slogan has also been changed now. BSNL's logo earlier had a blue and red arrow, which has now been changed to white and green. The earlier logo had a grey circle, which has now been completely changed. The design of the logo has been kept the same as before. The color of the circle in the middle has been changed to saffron. Also, the map of India will be visible in the circle.

The government has used the three colors of the Indian flag in the new logo of BSNL. BSNL has changed its old slogan 'Connecting India' to 'Connecting Bharat'. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and senior officials of BSNL unveiled the new logo of the company.

Spam Free Network

BSNL has introduced technology to block spam calls and messages through AI. Now users will have fraud calls and messages blocked at the network level itself.

National Wi-Fi Roaming

The government telecom company has launched the first FTTH-based Wi-Fi roaming service. BSNL users will get the facility to access high-speed internet on hot-spots without any extra charge.

IFTV

BSNL has launched the first fiber-based intranet live TV service. Through the FTH network, users will be able to watch more than 500 live TV channels on pay TV.

ATS-Kiosk

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has started the facility of ATM-like kiosks for SIM cards. These kiosks will be installed in public places including railway stations of the country, so that customers can get the facility of buying and upgrading SIM cards 24*7.

D2D Service

BSNL has also announced a direct-to-device service, which will provide better connectivity by integrating mobile networks with satellite.

Disaster Response Service

The government telecom company has launched Emergency Encrypted Communication Disaster Response Communication Service for connectivity in times of flood or other natural disaster, which will help the government and relief agencies to provide connectivity in the affected areas. This will be a drone or balloon-based communication system.

Private 5G networks for mines

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in collaboration with C-DAC has launched a 5G service to provide superfast connectivity in mines. This service will work to provide high-speed coverage in underground mines through AI and IoT.
