Samsung OneUI 7 Launching April 7 – New Features & Eligible Devices

Samsung previously stated that the One UI 7 update that is based on Android 15 would be available in April for select Galaxy smartphones. Now, the South Korean electronic’s company has made it clear that the primary rollout will begin on April 7. It will first be available on Galaxy S24s, Galaxy Z Fold 6 along with Z Flip 6. It is important to mention that the devices previously mentioned will be getting a stable version of One UI 7 given that the beta version is already out. Samsung announced on its blog post that the update “brings a bold new design for greater personalisation and control over the user experience.”  

Samsung has told the public that One UI 7 will begin rolling out on April 7, and will continue to become available for even more Galaxy smartphones and tablets over the coming weeks. The previously mentioned devices will be the first to receive the update after which the S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 will follow.

In the following weeks, this update will also be available for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S10 as well as Tab S9 Series One UI 7 Update: What’s New? Samsung stated that One UI 7 update, unlike other updates, comes with an équipement and emotive design making it simple and impactful. This serves to provide a seamless experience to galaxy users which entails users are provided with a simplified home screen as well as redesigned One UI widgets. New features Samsung claims that Now Bar gives updates directly on the lock screen in the form of notifications. Users will be able to get vital information via a quick swipe without having to unlock the phone whether they are tracking progress during a morning run or wanting to check what’s playing on the Galaxy Buds. If a user is watching a video then he can simply swipe the Edge Panel and click on the ‘AI Select’ icon to save it in gif format. The input then allows the user to easily summarize or automatically format the contents in which texts can be selected.

Samsung remarked concerning this feature, “It helps bring ideas to life with more than a single input, including combinations of text prompts and images or sketches.” As an example, the Assist feature helps one 'tackle' drawing and integrates concepts when Samsung mid-screens as text prompt images.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series users will be glad to hear that advanced editing is now easier for users who are not professionals. You will be able to isolate unwanted sounds in videos and access the brand new Audio Eraser tool.

However, for other Galaxy S25 models, these two features are still available. Briefing and Call Now Transcription are two of the newest features that come packed in the S25 series but older versions don't currently have them yet.

At this point, Samsung users are noticing that these features may be added in the upcoming beta updates but no one really knows for sure.
