Infinix introduces Mini Tri-Fold smartphone that folds three times
In November of last year, Infinix announced its very first foldable smart device, the Infinix Zero Flip. They have now released a new edition to their Zero series which is the Zero Series Mini Tri-Fold, just days ahead of the Mobile World Congress which takes place from March 3 to March 6 of 2025.
The company further added that the triple fold smartphone is actually in development and will soon be put into production. They have yet to reveal the hardware and the details of the launch, but Infinix has presented the devices hinges which are designed to fold in three parts.
Infinix Zero Series Mini Tri-Fold Smartphone
One Device, Multiple Functions – The Infinix Zero Series Mini is designed to replace multiple devices.
Dual-Screen Experience: When folded, it offers a dual-screen experience, allowing real-time multilingual conversations.
Camera Setup: It has a dual-camera setup at the back and a punch-hole selfie camera inside.
Special Strap: It comes with a unique strap that can be mounted on gym equipment, bicycle handlebars, car dashboard, etc. It can also be attached to a bag.
However, Infinix has not yet revealed the full specifications and launch date of this phone, but more information about it can be given at MWC 2025.
Tri-Fold Smartphones so far
So far, only Huawei has launched a triple-fold smartphone in the form of the Huawei Mate XT.
Huawei Mate XT was launched in September 2024 and introduced in the global market in February 2025. However, this phone is not available in India.
Samsung showed the concept of triple-fold design in 2023, but has not launched it yet.
Samsung Galaxy G Fold: What will be special?
Along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung may launch its first triple-fold phone – the Galaxy G Fold.
A massive 12.4-inch display when fully unfolded.
10.5-inch partially-folded mode for better viewing experience.
There will be no under-display camera, which will improve the front camera quality but a punch-hole cutout can be seen.
Samsung's triple-fold phone could arrive by July 2025, but Infinix is all set to become the second player in this segment after Huawei.
