Nitish Kumar to Expand Bihar Cabinet; 6 New Ministers Join

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expanding his cabinet for the Bihar Assembly election by adding ministers from the Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Chief Minister plans to conduct the cabinet expansion on Wednesday after 4 PM. This expansion, which will take place around 4 PM, is expected to see assumption of ministerial positions by a further four MLAs sources told ANI.\n\nThe sources further claimed that two MLAs from Janata Dal (United) led by Nitish Kumar propped to assume this ministerial position will also be inducted. Part of the report that most catches the eye is the resignation of 'Revenue Minister of Bihar’ of BJP and State President Dilip Jaiswal who has tendered his resignation for his ministerial post quoting the party’s policy of 'One Person, One Post'. Jaiswal said: “I'm going to resign from the position of Revenue Minister. One person, one post is the principle under which the party functions. I appreciate the central leadership for entrusting me with the party's state unit." Jaiswal, speaking to ANI.\n\nShivraj Singh Chouhan the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare with Bihar's deputy CM Samrat Choudhary were seen engaging with macroni farmers in Darbhanga on Sunday.

The BJP has shifted in its aim from Delhi to Bihar and hopes to clinch a decisive victory in the Assembly polls.

Jaiswal's appointment as the new state president of BJP came into effect from January,18. His departure may cause more changes in the Nitish Kumar cabinet, which is likely to happen before the elections later this year.

On cabinet expansion, Jaiswal emphasized, "That is for the Chief Minister to decide." 

At the same time, CM's son Nishant Kumar has also asked the citizens of Bihar to vote for his father in the coming elections. 

“People of Bihar should vote for him as he is a CM who has worked towards development of the state. Last time was a 43 seat To win more seats as public so that we can continue the pace of development.  Nishanth Kumar Sahib,” he added. 

So, speaking on behalf of the people and indeed, members of JD(U), he has asked them to reach out to the masses of Bihar with achievements of Nitish Kumar in the last 19 years.
