India’s D Gukesh is now in ranking number three, and R Praggnanandhaa is back in the top ten of the FIDE classical ratings. This jump came after India won in the World Cup and Gukesh defeated Ding Liren in Singapore. Gukesh’s points have now risen to 2787 from the previous number of 2778, and he is now 10 points above the previously mentioned number.

Gukesh now has 17 points, but lost the Tie break against Praggnanandnaa which means he is now behind both Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen in terms of rank. Magnus holds the top position in global chess rankings.

While Former world number 1 Fabiano Caruana is also behind Gukesh. The top five positions are free for grabs now that Arjun Erigiasi has been knocked down with a low points score of 2777.

He is making a comeback after winning the Tata Steel Masters, but he fell down the list last year and has just recently made it back to the top 10. After gaining the winner’s points, he moved up to 2758 and is currently placed in 8th position while competing in the Prague Masters.

At number six with a rating of 2528, Koneru Humpy is the only Indian player in the top 10 of the women's list. R Vaishali (2484) and Harika Dronavalli (2483) take 14th and 16th spots respectively.
