People have elected me to do a job and I am doing it: Donald Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump has previously stated that in his speech at the joint session of the U.S Congress, he felt that America earned its trust and respect back after his presidency. He explained steps taken on security, immigration, economy and other fronts during his addressing session.
In the beginning weeks of his presidency, Trump explained the citizens, as well as, Congress what all has been done while preparing for the speech. Trump stated America's trust and respect has returned to him.
“This is Renewing the American Dream” was the topic chosen by Trump because he at first was explaining the results of what he did then proceeded to ask congress for funds to implement his harsh immigration program.
He said “It has been nothing but swift and relentless action. People elected me to work, I am working.” He had also said that immigration, economy and welfare policies such has international relations and America has to pull back from taking action.
In the beginning periods of his address, Trump was being interrupted frequently by the Democratic Party. During one of such intermissions, A. Green, Representative of Texas’ House, stood up and yelled saying, Trump has no direction. After some time of these void intermissions, House Speaker Mike Johnson intervened and started asking the members of the House to sit quietly. A bit later in the session, he asked Green to be removed from the House.
