Myanmar getting Su-30 fighter jets from Russia upsets China, is it a threat to…? Are Putin and Xi Jinping on…?

Naypyidaw: The collusion between Russia and Myanmar has sparked concern in China about the potential erosion of its influence in the region. To put it briefly, Myanmar’s military dictatorship received a shipment of 6 Sukhoi SU30 jets from Russia.

Naypyidaw: The heavy delivery has China under immense pressure. The issue with Russia’s delivery of six Sukhoi SU30 fighter jets to the Myanmar Air Force is that China’s JF17 has a massive tech fault.

Chicks Catchin’ in Myanmar Air Force

The Myanmar Air Force ordered the aircraft in 2018 as part of a $400 million deal. The fighters were inducted into service on December 15 at the Meiktila Air base located in Mandalay. Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia reported that the Myanmar Air Force will use the Su-30 fighter jets as the main planes for defense purposes and solutions to terrorism activities.

With Russia’s help, Myanmar has managed to get hold of new aircraft during a civil war, and various ethnic groups including the Arakan Army are fighting against the military coup that occurred back in 2021. They were incredibly successful in their endeavors and almost took control of the Rakhine state. After inspecting the Russian aircraft, there were reports that the Myanmar Air Force was planning to attack the rebels.

Opposing the Rebels’ Plans

Sub-basements for the Naypyidaw air force have been equipped with Russian made Sukhoi 30 fighter jets as reported by TASS, the Russian government and media. The Myanmar Air Force plans on countering rebel forces with the assistance of these Russian jets. Social media in China is filled with people criticizing the growing presence of Russian People within their borders.
