MWC 2025: Explosive launch of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Xiaomi officially launched its flagship smartphone lineup: the Xiaomi 15 series, which includes the Xiaomi 15, as well as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The design of both models is appealing, and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is especially notable with its two-tone finish. Both smartphones come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a custom designed camera system with Leica. Last year Xiaomi 14 Series are almost unchanged, while this year has done slight modifications. It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi 15 Ultra got released in China on 27th February, whereas Xiaomi 15 was introduced back in October during the latter half of 2022.

Specificational and Functional Details on Xiaomi 15 Ultra

Xiaomi has incorporated Xiaomi 15 Ultra with a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a 3200 x 1440 resolution. And with a peak brightness of a whopping 3200 nits under low-power status. This display has Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and a variable refresh rate between 1-120Hz. The screen is also able to support a deluge took.

In addition, Xiaomi 15 Ultra is outfitted with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, together with an advanced cooling system, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and a proprietary chip. This phone has a 5410mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, with a standard battery capacity.

In terms of construction, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes in aerospace-grade fiberglass with either PU leather or glass finish. The device is also protected by a Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0. This smartphone will come in chrome silver, black, and white.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Leica will get quad-camera setup

In photography, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has an advanced quad camera system using Leica Summilux optics. The camera specs are exceptionally appealing for photography lovers.

Xiaomi 15: Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi 15 is designed for consumers that prefer smaller size phones. With a 6.36 inches AMOLED screen, it also delivers up to 3200 nits peak brightness. The Xiaomi 15 phone features the Leica-tuned triple camera setup.

Xiaomi 15: Performance and Battery

Xiaomi 15 comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU paired with 12GB of RAM. Its 5240mAh battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone has an above average aesthetic because of the aviation grade aluminium frame, which is more traditional compared to the Ultra model. Xiaomi 15 will come in black, white, liquid silver, green, and a special color variant.

Both mobile devices run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which includes AI-powered applications such as AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Image Enhancement, AI Film, and many more. These applications help users edit texts, recognize speech, improve images, and even perform professional video editing.

Pricing and Availability of Xiaomi 15 Series Xiaomi 15 is available in Europe for approximately 91,000 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra for 1,36,000. The 12GB RAM + 256 GB storage model of Xiaomi 15 is offered at the above price and for 15 Ultra with 16 GB RAM version the price is at EUR 1499 (approx 1,36,000). Here is the price for both products in China: Xiaomi 15 comes with the price tag of CNY 4,499 (approx 54,000) and for Xiaomi 15 Ultra the price is CNY 6,499 (approx 78,000). Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will officially be launched in India on March 11 but their counterparts have not yet announced Xiaomi products pricing for the Indian market.
