On the fifth day of their search, authorities have still been unable to recover any of the eight workers trapped in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal tunnel ever since the site suffered a collapse on Saturday. They have been tirelessly working to locate any signs of life, but as of this moment, the workers remain missing. However, reports taken from the Times of India say that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was able to violate the final point of the collapse on Tuesday.

With conditions remaining the same for four days, teams are still focusing their efforts on the last 40-50 meters of the tunnel collapse. The combination of water, mud, and debris has rendered the location completely inaccessible. In an attempt to navigate through the more submerged portions of the tunnel, teams rolled out thermocol boats, as if that would get the job done, the TOI has mentioned in their report. Even so, experts remain concerned about the possibility of survival from the trapped workers.

Although the inflow of water and silt deposits severely limits possibilities of infringing on the rescue effort, this heads somewhere important towards the solving of the issue.

In between various claims and all of the approaches that are attempting to solve the problem, the family members of probably coming from the Jammu and Kashmir region for Singh, remain hopeful and waiting. As a fellow resident of Gurha Manhasan , a village near the India-Pakistan border, Singh’s family continues to be stressed, continues PTI.

“We have been waiting for any news from him for the last four days, and we believe it will be good. Our relative who works there is the one who told us about this,” said Sunny’s younger brother, Rajesh.

Rescue efforts are underway at Srisailam Left Bank Canal SLBC project Nagarkurnool in which part of the bolt blasted off. The Telangana Government has called GSI and NGRI experts to formulate a plan to help the eight missing people.

India's robust expansion of its economy's tunnel industry sectors is commendable, but comes with stringent social and environmental issues.

Telangana usa:'s Kodangal place has been known for the SLBC Nagarkurnool tunnel site where a tunnel recently collapsed.

Telangana tunnel collapse news: workers search the area for the remaining people. The rescue operation has reached day number four.

Singh’s mother stated that they normally talk to him almost daily, although didn’t speak to him on the date of the collapse.

One of the most challenging rescues of all time: the tunnel.

However, the condition of the operation was described by Minister of the state for Telangana, Uttham Kumar Reddy to be one of the more difficult attempting to save someone from a narrow tunnel with only one way in or out. He hypothesized that the collapse could have been caused by a tectonic shift or failure of a geological fault line.

Reddy underscored the challenges concerning the safety of rescuers on the ground with the constant influx of water and silt. “The water and silt inflow into the tunnel at such a rapid pace is very dangerous. Some experts have cautioned that rescuers’ lives may even be at risk. We will move ahead after we have the best expert’s advice,” PTI quoted him as saying.

Political Twists Tragedies In

This has brought about a political scandal with Opposition, which includes Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing the Congress governed state of being negligent. On the other hand, Reddy refuted the accusations, remarking that it is “shameful politics” during the hour of need.

Aiding in the efforts also are the so-called “rat miners,’’ which are specialized in their work.

Rescue attempts expanded on Tuesday: Geoscientists from the Geological Survey of India and National Geophysical Research Institute were called in to help. Also, the so-called “rat miners” infamous for the successful rescue of workers from the collapse of Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand in 2023, were brought in on Monday. Who are the people trapped inside?

The eight people known to be trapped inside the tunnel are as follows:

Manoj Kumar and Sri Niwas (both from Uttar Pradesh), Sunny Singh (from Jammu and Kashmir), Gurpreet Singh (from Punjab), Sandeep Sahu, Jegta Xess, Santosh Sahu, and Anuj Sahu (all from Jharkhand).
