Taiwan Condemns China’s Shooting Drills Near Its Coast

Taiwan criticized on Thursday China’s military operations after the nation set an area for firing exercises in the waters southwest of the self-ruled island.
Beijing’s increases in military movements around Taiwan’s waters and airspace over the last few years has been concerning. China has made it clear that the island is its territory and would forcibly regain control over it if the need arose.
Taiwan's foreign minister in a statement said, “China is the biggest troublemaker for regional peace and stability, and the sole and greatest threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific region.”
Taiwan's Defense Ministry reported that they had spotted 45 aircraft and 14 navy vessels within twenty four hours. One ship and 34 vessels of the Chinese military crossed into Taiwan’s airspace and waters.
Without clarifying any further, Taiwan expressed that they took appropriate measures in response.

Taiwan’s electronics firms are expected to benefit from Delta Electronics investing $500 million in the company which would help the firm expand its international influence.
This comes on the heels of Taiwan reporting this week that four vessels of the Chinese Coast Guard intruded into the vicinity of Kinmen Island and Taiwanese boats were sent to the location in order to escort them away.
As per the report of Chinese Executive Wang Huning, Xinhua, the country’s owned news service, stated during an annual meeting regarding Taiwan, Wang urged proactive policies pertaining to cross-strait relations which would support the process of reunification of the country.
This week, Taiwan claimed to have been able to apprehend a Chinese owned vessel cutting an underwater cable and has since seized the craft. Beijing has accused Taiwan of political manipulation by allegedly misrepresenting the circumstances prior to substantiated information being obtained.
