Star Cement Ltd has received approval to construct a cement clinker and grinding plant in Assam that will be worth Rs 3,200 crore.

Simple Terms Star Cement received approved in assumption of state government with the construction becoming official after the Advantage Assam Business summit meeting. Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated these details.

Additionally, an MoU was signed between the state government and the Matheson Hydrogen Lvt Ltd on the hydrogen and steam generation plant that is set to become value Rs 1,500 crore.

The government also signed an MoU with Global Health Ltd valuing Rs 500 crore, alongside two non-financial agreements with ITE Education Service.

With regard to Prime Sarma, it would be right to thank the companies who provided their support and speak of future agreements that will take place during the day.

During the first day of ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025’, 164 MoUs were signed for investment proposals with different companies across 15 different sectors.
