"Samay Raina Breaks Silence on Ranveer Allahbadia’s Vulgar Remarks: ‘Beer Biceps Ko…’"

Comedian Samay Raina has responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding him in his signature humorous style. During a live performance at the Meyer Horowitz Theater in Edmonton, Canada, he even managed to throw in a cheeky reference to Ranveer Allahabadia (also known as BeerBiceps). This moment was shared by a fan, Shubham Dutta, on Facebook, who revealed that despite the tension in the air, Samay had the crowd in splits.
Samay's playful comment, “Thank you for paying my lawyer’s fees,” was met with laughter from the audience. However, as some started to interrupt, Samay quickly quipped, “Iss show pe bahot mauka ayega, jahan aapko lag sakta hai ki main bahot funny kuch bol sakta hoon, par tab BeerBiceps ko yaad kar lena bhai,” which translates to, "There will be many moments in this show when you'll expect me to crack a funny joke, but at that time, just remember BeerBiceps." For context, Ranveer Allahabadia is widely known by his online alias, BeerBiceps, due to his YouTube channel.
A fan who attended Samay’s tour across the US and Canada shared a heartfelt post in Bengali, reflecting on the show’s impact: “I finally understood the true meaning of this phrase just a few hours ago when I attended this man’s live show! For the first time, I witnessed nearly seven hundred so-called ‘spoiled’ members of today’s generation screaming his name at the top of their lungs, while in the middle of them stood a professional stand-up comedian, tears streaming down his face right before starting the set.”
After finishing his set, Samay made another remark on the controversy, saying, “Shayad samay kharab chal raha hai mera, par yaad rakhna doston, main samay hoon.” (Maybe my time is bad right now, but remember, friends, I am time itself.)
As a result of the controversy, Samay took down all episodes of his show "India’s Got Latent" from his YouTube channel. Reflecting on his decision, he said, “Whatever is happening is too much for me. My only aim was to make people laugh.”
