Ranbir Kapoor Once Lied to Aishwarya Rai – Truth Revealed 15 Years Later!

Actors and their co-actors spend a good amount of time together in the sets. Some develop great bonds that they is likely to cherish forever. One such actor duo is Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The two first made headlines together when they were seen in the 2016 movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The film was a romantic musical drama directed by Karan Johar with Anushka Sharma featured alongside. While promoting the film, Aishwarya disclosed how her co-star Ranbir Kapoor lied right in front of her.

The onscreen chemistry between Aishwarya Rai and Ranbir Kapoor was commendable in the movie. They got along seamlessly, which is why he was able to work comfortably with his co-actors. When Ranbir Kapoor told Aishwarya Rai a blatant lie

For a moment in the show, a picture from memory lane was displayed on the screen. Aishwarya started laughing remembering how Ranbir once told her that he had obtained 65 percent marks in his 10th examination. She, however, found out the truth, that he secured a 54 percent, only after more than 15 years when she was working on ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

She subsequently disclosed that his grandmother, Krishna Kapoor, had hosted a grand celebration for Ranbir in connection with his result. Nevertheless, she did not know her grade for the examination. The ‘Brahmastra’ actor responded by stating that he had already worked out the best five marks and gave out the result. The Kapoors were thoroughly shocked and that is why there was a celebration. Both actors reminisced how they also had a good laugh during that celebration. Aishwarya said, “His grandmother Krishna aunty was very excited as I was. I have to throw a party which is much bigger and have to serve dinner to everyone and the entire festivities were going on and both of us were laughing while looking at all the people and he was saying that look, everyone enjoys being this happy in just this much.”

Aishwarya Rai and Ranbir Kapoor have worked together in long form since that single from DP was released. The was a very good movie and the songs became everlasting songs. On the professional side, Ranbir Kapoor became very well known after receiving a lot of praise for his role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. Next, he will be seen in Nitish Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ where he will be playing alongside Sai Pallavi who will be portraying Devi Sita as Rama.

Aishwarya Rai was last seen in the film ‘Ponniyin Selvan II’ which was directed by Mani Ratnam and released in the year 2023.
