Mumbai Police Makes Key Breakthrough in Saif Ali Khan Attack Case

Further information has come to light concerning the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in Mumbai where his fingerprints have been traced to the crime scene. The final forensic report is still pending. A police officer revealed two of Khan’s servants identified Shariful Islam as the person who broke into the actor’s house and attacked him.
Last month, the face recognition test done on the Bangladeshi person arrested for the knife attack was confirmed, and he matched with the person in the CCTV footage. Mumbai Police as well as the authorities had already conducted an identification parade at the Arthur Road Jail. It is known that the actor lives in Bandra near the Sharan building.
Police discover incriminating evidence
There was an online debate about Shariful Islam's arrested the use of same split said the footage on CCTV followed him. Some of Saif Ali Khan’s servants confirmed that the assailant was indeed the same person. And as it stands, the police have plenty of evidence against Shariful.
Bangladeshi National Movement Tracked
According to reports, Shariful Islam came from Bangladesh, entering India through one of its borders and residing in some areas in Kolkata before reaching Mumbai. Investigations also showed that he was intending to escape to his village in Bangladesh but was captured at Hiranandani Estate in Thane. He is facing multiple charges including attempted murder and criminal trespass among other things. The investigation is still ongoing and more information and material evidence is expected in the forthcoming days.
Saif Ali Khan Underwent Two Surgeries
On the 16th of January during the morning hours, Shariful is said to have trespassed the 12th floor apartment of Saif Ali Khan and stabbed him on 6 different occasions before making his escape. He got caught 3 days later in the adjacent city Thane. The actor aged 54 had to be taken to Lilwati Hospital where he had two surgeries and recovered at the hospital until January 21st when he was declared fit.
