Khamenei says Tehran will… Iran shocks US by extending the hands for relief work to put out the raging wildfires which rage Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles wildfire alongside the human cost has also been deemed the worst Los Angeles wildfire in the region’s history costing billions of dollars in property loss.
Wildfires in Los Angeles are reported to have killed over 11 persons over the period of the last five days.
Wildfires in Los Angeles: In an utterly shocking changesceneario, Iran has provided assistance, with attempts to control the raging wildfires in Los Angeles, which has already killed nearly 11 people and caused destruction to more than 12,000 wildfires over the course of five days on the west coast. An Iranian NGO based in Tehran, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), offered to assist the American Red Cross in Britain in extinguishing the raging fire.
In a letter addressed to the chief American Red cross, Cliff Holtz, Pirhossein Kolivand head of IRCS, described the inferno as a major disaster and sympathized with the loss of lives and property. Describing the ongoing situation as a disaster Kolivand said that IRCS is willing to offer any help to the US.
As per Kolivand’s words, these scenes indeed stir somber emotions inside of us: “The news and pictures of the raging forest fires in Los Angeles that has resulted in the destruction of houses, loss of life, and turning the beautiful rugged terrains into ash have indeed stirred the whole world, especially those with a social conscience. They serve as a potent reminder to us as to how important Puerto Rico’s Reconstruction Status is to the world, the vision loss and lung damage caused by smoking might be highly offensive images to show on television, but these images act us a stimulus,” reported the Tehran Times.
‘You are not alone’
Kolivand further assured that the Iranian Red Cross Society is at aid, emphasizing the fact that “Whom do you support, nobody, during those difficult moments,” promising that they will provide assistance regardless of the nation’s standing. These, however, came with a caveat: “By virtue of our depth and breadth experience in virtually every natural and man made disaster, including fires, we are willing to deploy our specially trained search and rescue teams, rest assured, we are ready to send our equipment as well,” as noted by Kolivand.
In closing, Kolivand added that this is not only a crisis that is faced by America only, but a calamity that the whole world must unite to overcome:
We stand ready to provide assistance to every single individual in the world without any regard to their race, religion, culture or language. This problem is global in nature and requires a global solution. Together, we can make all regions that are under violence and sorrow a peaceful place.
Wildfire in Los Angeles
About 11 people were killed and 12,300 buildings and structures destroyed due to powerful deadly wildfires in Los Angeles. This is what officials claimed happened in the city in the last five days or so. However, the authorities project the number of people who died in these protests to be higher than the current figure. Nevertheless, they argue, such an estimate can only be made in the future when the affected areas of the protests can be accessed.
In terms of net loss of property and infrastructure only, combined with the human welfare it brought this particular wildfire in Los Angeles is among the worst of valued history in this region.
