While the responsibility for organizing the event officially rests with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), this tournament will more than likely happen at a third country due to the ongoing India – Pakistan conflict.
The same instance occurred during the 2025 Champions Trophy where the Indian team had to play all their matches in Dubai instead of the base of Pakistan, who were the contracted hosts of the tournament. They did this because the security threats for the team on Indian soil were too against too much, thus a neutral venue was necessary.
