Europe’s Army in Ukraine: A Path to World War III? Trump Warns

Trump Opposes European Troop Deployment in Ukraine, Warns of World War III
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly opposed the idea of deploying European troops in Ukraine, warning that such a move could escalate the conflict into a third world war. Trump stated that if Europe sends forces after a peace agreement, the situation could spiral into a global catastrophe.
Additionally, Trump has called for fresh elections in Ukraine before any ceasefire, suggesting that a new leader should replace President Volodymyr Zelensky. His remarks come as high-level diplomats from the U.S. and Russia met in Saudi Arabia to discuss the ongoing war. However, Zelensky has expressed frustration over Ukraine being excluded from these talks and has called for the deployment of 100,000 peacekeeping troops in the country.
Trump Warns of Global War
Speaking to reporters in Florida, Trump cautioned that European military involvement in Ukraine could lead to a worldwide conflict, according to The Sun. "There is talk of sending European troops to Ukraine," he said. "This could escalate the situation into World War III."
His comments come in response to suggestions from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European leaders who have proposed sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine. Trump also criticized Ukraine’s leadership, arguing that the war has been prolonged unnecessarily.
U.S.-Russia Talks in Saudi Arabia
In an effort to negotiate an end to the war, senior diplomats from the U.S. and Russia met in Riyadh for a five-hour discussion. Reports indicate that both sides agreed on the need for elections in Ukraine before a final peace settlement. This has fueled speculation that Zelensky could be removed from office and replaced by a pro-Russian leader in Kyiv.
However, Trump clarified that the push for fresh elections did not come from Russia but from him. "Elections haven't been held in Ukraine for a long time," Trump said. "Under martial law, Ukraine has no democratic process. If Ukraine wants a seat at the negotiating table, people will have to acknowledge that elections are long overdue."
