Bollywood's Worst Film: Some movies do not just leave you with a bad after taste, but are so disappointing that they manage to ruin your mood even before you start watching them. So today I will tell you about one such headline grabbing Bollywood disaster which had a star cast. But the moment the movie was released, it became apparent that everyone who decided to watch it was left disappointed. Well, this is one such intense movie and you should never watch it, even if your life is on the line.
Set in the mid 2015, this film had more than just a couple of big names attached to it. And needless to say the excitement surrounding it while the movie was being shot was palpable. Hearing the names of the stars alone was enough for the fans to get excited. But, this film did not exactly meet the expectations and people ended up hating the film at first sight.
‘Bombay Velvet’ is the name of this film and the sole reason of disappointment for a large section of people. Six bollywood stars were there in this film, which ran for two hours and twenty nine minutes. It had some of the biggest names, like Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, and KK Menon. It also included a few cameo’s for Raveena Tandon and Vicky Kaushal, where they put on some glam outfits.
What is the narrative of Bombay Velvet?
This film is based on Gyan Prakash’s “Mumbai Fables.” The plot is set in Mumbai in the year 1960. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor plays a boxer named John Balraj while Anushka Sharma plays jazz singer Rosie. The film depicts the struggles confronting their aspirations.
The greatest tragedy
Rumors suggest that the filmmakers intended to create more installments for this film. John Abraham, Aamir Khan, and Shahrukh Khan would have taken part in the other installments. For reasons unknown, Danny Boyle left this project. Following this, Anurag Kashyap scrapped the remaining parts.
