As Israel prepares its military reserves, putting them on standby for the worst-case scenario, the likelihood of a breakdown of the humanitarian truce is increasingly evident. It's apparent that Israel plans to recommence the war in Gaza, especially if Hamas is unable to meet the ultimatum set to them on Saturday regarding further release of Israeli hostages, and if the month-long ceasefire continues to be in effect.

Reports suggest that outrage is swelling in the Arab world concerning Trump's controversial plan to incorporate Gaza, displace its Palestinian populations, and erect a global beach emporium.

Israel's Secretary of Defense Israel Katz remarked that the intention of the truces is to ensure the collection of hostages from Gaza who are subjected to inhumane treatment as pain-filled captives. “If Hamas ceases the releases of the hostages then there is no such thing as a ceasefire and instead there is full on war,” he stated while addressing the Israeli armed forces in Tel Aviv.

According to him, “the new Gaza war” will, in contrast to its predecessors, erode the region's psyche to an unprecedented level," aiming “the realization of Trump's vision for Gaza.”

Hamas stated that the Egyptians and Qataris have come up with new initiatives in the middle of the deadlock, and Khalil Al-Hayya, the Gaza chief of the Palestinian militant organization, had landed in Cairo for consultations.

Hamas agreed to the deal for the release of three more hostages on Saturday, but stated that these will not be handed over for the time being due to what they claim are breaches by the Israeli side.

“Let Hell Break Out”

President Trump retorted by stating that all hostages had to be released before Saturday noon or else he would “let hell break out”.

As Qassem Hazaem stated, “self-explanatory to all of the world, Hamas is … will not accept the language of American and Israeli threats.” He further explains that steps are being undertaken to contact mediator states to finalize the term of the ceasefire.

On Tuesday, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Israel will start “intense fighting” again if Hamas does not follow the set deadline. Nevertheless, he has not specified the numbers regarding the hostages who are supposed to be released.

In a meeting on Tuesday, the king of Jordan and Trump had a talk when he was at the official residence and on the meeting, he told Jordan’s king that Hamas has to be made to understand the weight of the issue regarding the hostages and that not doing so will worsen the condition on top drastic measures will be taken.
