Abhishek Bachchan Rejected 3 Films That Made Aamir Khan a Superstar

In this case, when a person says he or she has lost a chance, while the other party has gained it. The film industry Bollywood is also a place where stars can afford to reject movies, and other can seize the opportunity with their hands. One of the instances of such divide is Abhishek Bachchan and Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan has acted in movies after getting success in his career while Abhishek Bachchan has done his career by providing those roles which were the turning points of his career.
The first movie that Abhishek turned down but was later on grabbed by Aamir Khan was a sports-oriented film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker called Lagaan. Following the refusal of Abhishek to take up the part, Khan got the chance to do it with the film turning into a blockbuster. When later asked about the reasons behind his decision, Bachchan said that he was not quite prepared to undertake such a project at that time of his career.
I thought that I was not suitable for the role of the film. I was too immatured to take the responsibity of a film which is as large scale as Lagaan. However, I had also known it would be large. But I was just not in a position to be part of it. I’m glad Aamir did Lagaan. He contributed a lot of magic and authority on the project. He says, “Every film and role has its own destiny,” Abhishek told to the ETimes.
Similarly, Abhishek Bachchan was offered the first film of Farhan Akhtar, Dil Chahta Hai where among other notable stars, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna were selected at the end.
Also, Amar Singh blamed SRK for the non-occurrence of Bachchan’s Rang De Basanti, where the latter refused the offer, following confusion resulting from Mehra’s narration of the movie. To Bachchan, the movie switch between two time zones was rather confusing. The actor also expresses his confusion regarding this with the director at fault. After that, the offer was given to Khan form the same center. This act stirred the man and the film successfully became a box office one at that.
Even though Aamir was already established as one of the actors in the industry, all these movies that were rejected by Bachchan were pivotal in the development of Khan.
