AAP’s Punardeep Sahni Wins Chandni Chowk, Defeats BJP’s Candidate

Delhi Assembly Elections Result 2025: Chandni Chowk forms an assembly segment which along with the other 9 segments forms a parliamentary constituency for Chandni Chowk. In the upcoming elections of 2025, AAP has given its ticket to the municipal councilor son of Prahlad Singh Sawhney, Punerdeep Sahni. The BJP candidate is Satish Jain, while the congress has selected Mudit Agarwal, keeping in mind the sizeable population of the Agrawal community in the region. Mudit is also son of veteran congressman and ex Chandni Chowk MP Jaiprakash Agarwal. Out of the total population of Chandni Chowk, Scheduled castes (SC) Stand at 18.41%. For this constituency, the voter base according to the 2020 voter list is 125717 and the number of polling stations are 133. Voter turnout was 61.43% in 2020 assembly election. The AAP led in the elections with 65.92 vote percent; the BJP and INC followed with 27.6 and 5.03 percent respectively.
