His first directional movie Fateh is a clear idea that even good movie does not require huge budget and famous actors to make it a successful one. Although it has been produced for a meagre Rs 30 crore, the powerful action-thriller movie is one of the most successful movies in 2025. Sonu Sood has not only acted in the film but has also extended his abilities as a director and designer of all the powerful actions scenes in the film.
This has been widely appreciated given that Sood was very much involved in many technical aspects of the movie making process. The action-packed teaser of the movie has earned Rs 30.7 crore, and most of them appreciate the actor’s obsession with directing. Fateh’s biggest attraction perhaps is the film’s action sequences which were done by International stunt director Lee Whittaker who has done Captain Marvell & Fast & Furious 5. The sequences have been shot in different places of Istanbul, Dubai and in US.
Besides, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah are also included in the cast of the film except for Sood. Fateh has been produced under the banner of Sonu’s Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios. The plot of the Den is based on the incidents that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States of America.
Earlier in an interview with ANI, Sonu Sood who directed the movie said that he had taken 2.5 months to shoot an action sequence in the making of this film. “Only when you occupy the position of director then you can write actions.” During the development of the story I described every action scene, whether the character would be hit with a plate or spoon or a pen or drill. This therefore implies that time committed to writing helped to improve the action. People are appreciating the action. We did a lot of work on that. We have also used a total of 2.5 months on action shot. Thus, I think that efforts always holds appreciation.” Sood said.
