To put forth his side to the public, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shwami Avimukteshwaranandha Saraswati Maharaj asserted that the Maha Kumbha has already been conducted and is thus misplaced. In his opinion, it had already culminated with the full moon of the Magh month.

Having already replaced the original phrase on the title of this publication, he further expounded it by stating that the Mahah Kumbh has Kumbh Mela on the night of Purnima. "The Maha Kumbh had already passed on Purnima. What is currently happening is the 'Sarkari Kumbh". Shankaracharya said, “The real Kumbh takes place in the month of Magh. The full moon of the Magh month had passed, and all the 'Kalpavasi' who were at the Kumbh had already left after the Purnima of Magh month."

His sentiments partake the captivating understanding that anything controlled by the government lacks the actual ‘spirit’ of when people get together as in Kumbh mela. Also, it does not have other spiritual connotations which in his opinion are vital during such events.

In addition to his comments on the Kumbh, Shankaracharya also mentioned the attention he intends to bring to slaughtering cows on Andolans March 17th.

Maha Kumbh Mela, Maha Kumbha, Mahakumb Mela, or Kumbh Mela, is a celebration concerned with Hindu culture.

"We convened a meeting on the subject of cow slaughter, and set a date for March 17. We consulted several political parties and formed a united coalition to ascertain whether decisions need to be taken on the continuation of slaughter or whether it should be persisted with like it has always been since the time of independence.” In my opinion, they should place a decision before the public by March 17th," he stated.

In the first phase of the event, a meeting will be held in Delhi and Shankaracharya and other relevant leaders will sit in wait for the political parties, both ruling and opposition to publicly state their views. Shankaracharya pointed out that once those statements are made, "We will then decide what policy we want to craft on this issue."

In Prayagraj, the ultimate day of Kumbh Mela was marked by the final 'snan' on Maha Shivratri, Tuesday this week.

As stated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, more than 662.1 million devotees had a holy blessing on the Maha Kumbh that began Kumbh 2025, on the paush purnima January 13 and ended on February 26 Maha Shivratri in Prayagraj.

Even on the final day of the Maha Kumbh in 2025, which happened to fall on the day of Maha Shivratri, followers continued to converge in large numbers at Triveni Sangam in Prayag Raj.

It is now over the Maha Kumbh which ended on Wednesday. The first Amrit Snan was held on the Paush Purnima date which started on January 13. This was followed by snans on Makar Sankranti on January 14, Mauni Amavasya on January 29, Basant Panchami on February 3, and Maghi Purnima on February 12.
